The geysers in Rotorua – New Zealand

This was taken at the geysers in Rotorua on the north Island.

There is heaps to do round the city in addition to viewing the geysers for which it is famous; including zorbing, where you roll down a hill in a large ball filled with water and luging, where you drive go karts on a track atop a mountain.

The Waitamo caves are not too far away either and these are amazing to experience. You sit in a tube and float through a cave with your only light being the glow-worms on the ceiling. It is very expensive but definitely worth it if you do have the money.

I was in NZ for the 2011 rugby world cup and what a two months it was! To read more about the world cup, please check out my rugby blog.
