There is certainly more to Jordan than just Petra and Wadi Rum is one of those places. Also known as Valley of the Moon, this is the largest wadi in Jordan.

There are many tours that will take into the desert (these can be bought at Wadi Musa, near Petra, or in Amman) or you can do as we did and walk in for 20 minutes and then sleep under the stars.
